  • Legacy Health finds new paths to improve neurosurgery with BrightMatter™ technology

Legacy Emanuel Medical Center was the first hospital in Oregon to acquire Synaptive’s BrightMatter™ technology for neurosurgery. On June 16, 2017, the hospital posted a video clip of Dr. Todd Kuether and Dr. David E. Adler speaking about its advantages.

“Overall, the Synaptive BrightMatter technology is really cutting edge. I can simulate precisely what I am going to be doing in the operating room before I do it and so this is a plan,” said Dr. David E. Adler.

“In some cases there might even be some patients that would be considered almost inoperable, and now this [technology] maybe gives us the best way to reduce the injury to the patient trying to get to these areas,” said Dr. Todd Kuether.
