Prior to joining the “buy side” Brad worked as a sell-side oil and gas analyst at Morgan Stanley, TD Securities, and BMO Nesbitt Burns compiling over 25 years of experience in capital markets. He is founder and director of the Embley Park Foundation, a private philanthropic organization dedicated to identifying and empowering causes in the local community that are chronically in need and overlooked, and to support their rise to a level of self-sufficiency.
Brad is the chief benefactor of the White Trading Lab at the Memorial University Business school, which hosts over 10 Bloomberg training terminals. He also was the lead investor in The Fund which is the school’s first student-managed investment portfolio. This arrangement provides Memorial students with the opportunity to develop the tools necessary for future careers in capital markets. Under the guidance of faculty and industry mentors, students make real investment decisions with real capital. Brad also serves as an independent director of Kahu Capital Partners, a Bahamian asset manager that focuses on yield-oriented bond and equity securities. Brad holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a CFA designation.
